Activities in The Mountains

North Conway Village is in the heart of the Saco River Valley, surrounded by the majestic beauty of the Presidential Range and 6,288' Mt. Washington,  the highest peak in the Northeast, named for the blanket of snow that covers the peaks almost year 'round. The area boasts a huge variety of both natural and manmade attractions and activities.Skiing in North Conway

The White Mountains are primarily granite and are characterized by their rounded summits, deep broad valleys, and U-shaped passes called "notches". Through these notches flow crystal clear, rushing rivers famous for the exciting canoeing and kayaking experiences they provide. Pristine lakes and ponds also offer exceptional opportunities to view the area's abundant wildlife. You could meet a moose, see a beaver dam, or surprise a family of deer at almost every turn of the trail or stream

IN SPRING and SUMMER - There are four golf courses in the Valley, miles of hiking and cycling routes to explore throughout the White Mountains, canoeing on the gentle Saco River, and lots of great picnic spots. We'll be happy to help you plan a memorable day of fun!

IN FALL and WINTER - View the magnificence of fall foliage. Cross country ski and snowshoe at our doorstep, or at Great Glen Trails.  Downhill skiing at 6 major ski areas all within minutes of the Manor... Attitash,  Bretton Woods, Cranmore, Wildcat, and Sunday River. Each mountain has excellent snowmaking and grooming capabilities along with ski rental and instruction. Horse-drawn sleigh rides are also offered at various Valley locations as well as ice skating, snowshoeing  tubing and more!
